Differentiation:
Accommodations for instruction will be provided as stated on each student’s (IEP) Individual Education Plan for special education, 504, at risk, and ESL/Bilingual. Differentiation will be through small groups, visuals, use of calculators, extra time, supplemental aids and reteach if necessary.
Homework:
If students write their own word problems they will learn how word problems are constructed, develop their reasoning skills, and make connections between math concepts and the real world.
Journal:
The student will complete a journal entry pertaining to the day’s topic.
Discuss three personal goals for this year’s math class.
